Mosquitos samples in Norfolk tested positive for West Nile Virus
Two mosquito's samples were tested positive for the West Nile Virus in Norfolk.
According to the officials of Norfolk Department of Public Health, both samples were collected in the Colonial Place neighbourhood on Thursday.
The West Nile Virus is being spread to the people by the bite of an infected mosquito.
Mosquitoes became infected when they feed on infected birds, and then spread the virus to people and animals by biting them.
Most of the people got infected by WNV do not have any symptoms.
However, when it does develop into the illness, the symptoms can include a mild fever, headache, body aches, vomiting, or diarrhoea.
To Prevent yourself, Wear clothing that is long, light, and loose.
Avoid Mosquito Bites, Use insect repellents while going outside in Mosquito's infected areas.
